Report Tool (Statistical & Information Database for the Russian Petrochemical Industry)
Introduction
The CIREC Report Tool is a web portal containing key production and capacity, finance and trade statistics for the Russian petrochemical industry. The data is displayed in an interactive database format which allows the user to move easily between categories and within the sub-categories.
The features of the Report Tool can be summarized as follows:
- Petrochemical production in Russia - (quarterly volumes by individual plant for more than 40 products. Records start from Q1 1998 and are presented in both tabular and graphical form)
- Petrochemical production Capacities in Russia (capacity of each plant and product listed together with production)
- Financial performance of major Russian petrochemical producers (turnover, gross profit and net profit)
- Petrochemical trade (Chinese imports from Russia)
A full list of products and plants included in the database can be seen below. Please note that the links are not active in this part of the site and it is purely a demonstration page. After your subscription has been received and user name/password activated you can visit www.cirec.net/report/.
Report Tool Features
- Data can be displayed in both tabular & graphical format
- The database is interactive which allows the user to move easily from product to product to product and plant to plant
- Production data and capacity data start from 1998, but the main menu of the database allows the user to choose the period to research
- The default unit of measurement is kilo tons, but this can be changed to million pounds
Sample Page
A sample page can be seen at http://www.cirec.net/report-demo/, by selecting the product aniline and the producer Beraton. This same model is repeated for each product and producer the other 44 products included in the database.
Subscription
Subscription to the statistics service is available on an annual basis. Either visit http://www.cirec.net/subscription-to-cirec-monthly-news.shtml where it is possible to subscribe to CIREC Monthly News at the same time, or contact us and we will be glad to provide further details.

Q. How do I get started in the Report Tool?
A. After login, you will see the following options/categories
- Russian Petrochemical Production & Capacities (Tabular)
- Russian Petrochemical Production & Capacities (Graphical)
- Russian Chemical Company Financial Performance (Tabular)
- Russian Chemical Company Financial Performance (Graphical)
- Russian Chemical Trade, Exports to China (Tabular)
Questions and explanations of each category are given below
Russian Petrochemical Production & Capacities
Q. How do I open the database for Russian petrochemical production and capacities?
A. After selecting Russian Petrochemical Production & Capacities (Tabular) you will find a table drop down menu below the short introduction.
At the top of the table you will see the title “Choose Product(s), Company(s) and timeframe to Build Report”. At the bottom of the table you will see Build Report which should be clicked. This will then open up the full set of production and capacity data.
For each product there are two columns for every quarter reported; firstly for production and secondly for capacity.
The products and companies are listed in the far left hand column. The links are interactive and allow quick navigation within the system. By clicking on one product, it will list all the producers with production and capacity data. Equally, by clicking on one of the producers, it will show all the products for which there are data in the database.
Q. What if I only want to examine one product and want to look at a specific year or period?
A. In the Product Section select the product from the drop down menu, and then in the Period box identify which quarters you wish to examine. The default is set to show all data onwards from 1998, if you do not wish to make a period selection. By selecting a period, it reduces the time required for downloading the data.
Q. What if I only want to examine one company’s production and want to look at a specific year or period?
A. In the Company Section, select the company from the drop down menu, and then in the Period box identify which quarters you wish to examine. The default is set to show all data from 1998, if you do not wish to make a period selection.
