Most of the investments in the plan are based on non-public funds and private capital, and thus the government s role is more observationary than directly influential. A large number of projects are planned in Russia in the next five to ten years and this will have a major impact on availability for export and for the development of the Russian economy.
The government approach has been divide the projects and regional goals into six main clusters.
Russian Petrochemical Clusters
North West
Volga-Urals
Caspian
West Siberia
East Siberia
Far East
Each of these regions possesses strengths and weaknesses, in terms of feedstock sources, consumption, and logistics, which will affect the supply/demand balances for monomers, polymers, imtermediates and organic chemicals. Our study addresses each of these regions proviidmg both analysis and forecasts for petrochemical products, combined with a full description of every project from feedstock to end-product.
